ntl netguard/virgin pcguard

for the last few days ive had a problem where the internet didnt load and a page saying it timed out was displayed. this just happened out of the blue. i have broadband and it worked one night and the next morning i went on the internet and it just happened.

i installed pc guard and it worked fine but didnt fix the problem so i did a system restore to about 5 days previous. it worked

but know pcguard doesnt load properly.

ive tried uninstalling it and no uninstall program comes up
ive tried deleting the files but it still happens

ntl netguard security is still listed on add/remove but when i click remove the intall shieldwizard setups but never shows or uninstalls it


what i want to know is how can i remove both programs totally so that i can install pc guard fresh so that it works

try reinstalling it then go to add/remove and see if you can get rid of it there.

longshot - You can also try doing a system restore and go to a date to just prior to the original install and see if it will disappear.

thanks for the help!, ive done what you have said and it hasnt worked. i will call virgin media for some more help.
