Ok, not sure if this is in the right spot, mods move as you see fit.

I have 4 maybe 5 "media players" on my pc, all legit, all gotten from assorted peices of hardware I've purchased. Anyway, lately when I play music file through Media Player 11, it makes my speakers sound as if they are blown. Really nasty cracking and scratching sounds. Same songs via any other player plays crystal clear.

Was running Media Player 10, upgraded to 11 to see if the problem would go away, nope followed right along to 11.

Strange, any thoughts.

check and make sure the speakers are plugged properly also make sure the sound card is plugged in properly. Does the sound work okay when not using a media player? Go to youtube and see if the sound works okay there.

Speakers, wires, sound card, all work fine. Like I said, all music is crystal clear using any of the other media players such as Yahoo Jukebox, WinAmp, or Music Match. Win Media Player is the only one that makes the speakers sound as if they are blown.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, no change in sound quality.

Noticed 2 other post with same problem:
