I am running OE V-5.5 and would like to transfer my In Box mail as well as my Sent Box mail to my new computer. Is there an easy way to do this???
I have tried the export function to no avail.
I am not able to network the systems either.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this works on the PC version, but on the Mac, you can drag the messages out of the Inbox window into a folder on the desktop or somewhere else. Then you can transfer that folder across, then drag them back in on the new machine.

Hello dere eriebch

Just curious - Where are you in Ontario? I was raised in Windsor, Ontario and was aware of a community named Erie Beach somewhere in that area. That Erie Beach? If so point me to some link(s). I looked at one real estate listing for that area that indicates that real estate there, while by no means cheap,is less expensive than here in High River,Ab. feel free to contact me via email.

looks like this has a drawback

when messages have the same subject title, you wind up with only one copy of all those with same subject title...

compare NUMBER of files copied
and number of messages you have in the folder

someone once recommended orangair e-backup
another recommended panicover
these are email/adressbook backup utils

Howdy neighbour!!

It never failed to amuse me to see the look of utter shock and disbelief on the faces of Americans when we Windsorites would tell them that Windsor is South of Detroit.

Of course you Yanks missed out on that guilty pleasure because none of us Canucks ever had any silly notions about the USA and Americans!! :D

Leaving aside that nasty little spat in 1818 Canada and the US have always been able to resolve their differences without bloodshed. That says something about our two nations and their people.
