Do I need Bonjour?

I recently had the program Bonjour show up on my computer, I believe as part of a microsoft office update. It was causing problems with my startup, so I unchecked it in the services tab of msconfig. (It wasn't even listed in startup.) I was wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly it is for and do I need it? If not, I will unistall it to avoid future problems.

If you have an Apple computer, Bonjour is part of networking.

I have an HP, not an apple. So...I guess it's okay to get rid of Bonjour?

Yes, it should be. To be on the 'safe side', stick it in the recycle bin for a week, see if there's any problems with it missing (easy to restore, if need be).
