Unable to remove a program

Please help me find a way to restore normal work for PowerChute. It does not work properly and also do not start with Windows, though it is still in start-up (msconfig). I'm trying to delete it and reinstall, but every time I get a message "There is not enough disk space to uninstall APC Power Chute". But I have half HD empty! What I should do?

Have you tried uninstalling it in safe mode?

Well... I have Personal Edition (sorry for missing this information) and I'm not sure if I should follow this procedure. Anyway, thank you, I'll keep in mind if things get even worse. But... do you think it's a PowerChute problem or it is a general computer problem? If program fails, I can try to contact APC support.

I'm not familiar with this program, I'll move this over to the application forum and see if someone there knows of this issue with this software.

I did it! I cleaned register in the same way as advised for Professional edition and could reinstall PwerChute successfully! Thank you!

ANOTHER PROBLEM/QUESTION

I work as a translator and used to type a lot in Cyrillics. I have no problems with Cyrillics in most of programs e.g. Word, E-mail, but some of them (including MSN messenger) do not let me type - it shows as unreal letters or ???? signs. How I can improve it?
