Shared drive access

Myself and a colleague are the only two people who have access to a particular shared drive. We are both of the country and have just realised that we need a document which we have left on the shared drive, which we cannot access. Can our IT administrator access this shared drive? If so, how would he do it, and how quickly will he be able to do so? Sorry to ask this here, we won't be able to get hold of him til Monday!

If the IT administrator has a local admin account for the machine on which the shared drive resides, then he will be able to access the files.
