PC won't download files anymore!

Hi

First time user so please be nice!

I've been on dial up for ages, finally got onto broadband (madasafish), downloaded a few things here and there, but now my pc won't download anything! The box comes up but stays at 0% forever.

Anyone got any ideas????

try a little cleanup. what are you trying to download - p2p? what browser?

I'm on IE7 (just upgraded). Windows XP. I might have solved it actually, I disabled Norton 2006 and it now seems to work. Would this have made a difference?

sounds like the nortons firewall was blocking downloads.
