Today My Computer teacher was Teaching us about the hardware of the computer, he pointed at everything and we were able to answer everything which he pointed at UNTIL.....he pointed at the AGP graphics card, i answered that correctly, and heres the funny part 'Ok you answered that correctly, as you know, AGP is currently the best graphics technology on the market today' 'this is me->O_o' I then proceeded to correct him saying that PCI-Express was currently the best, and to my surprise he had absolutly no idea what it was!' so i showed him some pics of google and i told him to get the sheet he was using to get all the information....i looked at it, as it was old but it was from 1999 >_<! we were learning ancient stuff...^_^ hahaha...

eh computer teachers make mistakes too, odd thinking that AGP is the best but eh, honostly in my opinion about graphics cards they need to learn to handle high levels of data being processed rather than trying to make littler bits of data come out in better clarity.

old people eh! Shoot 'em when they get to 35.

I'm constantly amazed at how uninformed my kids' IT teachers are (or ICT as they like to call it this week). Basically, they are a teacher who has been shown how to go through each syllabus to the required level. Occasionaly you come across a switched on (wired?) one, such as Dave Moss, IT teacher and contributing editor to PC Pro (UK issue). He's a smart guy, but his ilk are sadly too widely dispersed.

My computer science teacher was awesome and up-to-date. He was just out of college for elementary education and ended up teaching a class of 20 high school guys.

Still, everyone makes mistakes. Mine just happen to be with simple math.
but his ilk

My teacher at my high only knew old stuff, and programming.....I brought in my USB flash drive one day and she didn't know what it was, and it took her a min to learn how to use the touch bar on my MP3 player, many other things with post 90s technology she really doesn't know....but at least she programs well

The guy who is in charge of all computer purchases at my high school, doesn't even know how to use a computer very well, everything in the school is sooo old....my senior year i used a Pentium 1 75mhz (I overclocked it to 90) with the RAM upgraded to 64MB to learn hardware on......I was sort of the assistant teacher for that class tho, I was 3 grades ahead of everyone and only took the course cuz I needed another elective

and PCIe x16 is twice the throughout of AGP 8x

obviously PCIe x16 is better quality than AGP but with my experience in cards I have had cards that bring just as decent quailty in graphics just as well as some PCIe x16 cards obviously they cant maintain it for long and that was a highend card at the time, its obsolete now, but we are getting to the point where the human eye can not tell the difference in graphics and over all nice graphics are nice to be enjoyed but if it sucks up your ram and takes up resources then whats the point?
