Firefox taking forever to open

Each time I open the Firefox browser, it takes a good 15 seconds before the window finally pops up

I thought it might have been too filled with extensions, so I deleted ones I never really used

This problem never occurred before, though, even with all of them installed

Ideas?

when you are opening firefox, are you starting new sessions or having it restart old? What about your home page? Is there alot of graphics or video files?

new session - even when I open old ones, it takes just as long

my home page is Firefox's Google

hi there, How much ram is in your computer at the moment? and are you running just firefox or do you have other applications open at the same time? Please let me know so that i can try and help you further. :happy:

I only have Firefox open most of the time

I have only 504MB of RAM, but that never caused any problems before

the only thing I can think of doing right now is to uninstall, download a new version, then reinstall. Possibly got a bad update.
