Best Email Program

OK, I will try again. I am using Outlook Express for email. My wife and I share same email address, so when she opens outlook express on her page, she takes all the email from our pop server. Likewise, I do the same. I need a stellar email program that we both can use. Any suggestions?????

You can set up Outlook Express to filter the mail based on whose name is in the To field. This will work only if people use her name when emailing her and your name when emailing you regardless of the actual email address.

This will work only if you have set up an Identity in OE for yourself and for your wife.

In your Identity, click on Tools>Message Rules>Mail. Check the box for "Where the To lines contains people," then check the box for "Do not download it from the server." Then click on the "contains people" that appears in the bottom pane. Fill in your wife's name, click the Add button, click the OK button.

Then in her OE Identity, do the same using your name.

Whichever account checks email first will get all the spam.

Thank you for that tip. I will try that! I was also looking to replace the Outlook Express with another email program. Any suggestions?

Just view your email via webmail. This way it can be check from any computer by both without the inconvenience.

As far as email clients. You may want to check out Thunderbird

I am sorry to ask the obvious or sound like a stupid question, but is webmail a specific program or provided by my ISP?

Webmail means that the email set up is "web based", Outlook Express and Thunderbird are both email programs, if you have a Yahoo or Gmail etc. email account, unless you have them set up to run through an email program, you'd be viewing your emails through a "web based" set up.
