Firefox Update Problems

I just updated my Firefox browser as Firefox recommended, and now am unable to log in to password protected sites at all. I get a message saying:

"Error trying to validate certificate from ... (whatever site, such as wachoviaonline.wachovia.com) using OCSP - corrupted or unknown response. Error code: -8073."

Can anyone help resolve this? I tried removing Firefox then reinstalling but still the same results.

It's usually a verisign certification error with that OCSP stuff!

Tools > Options > Advanced > Encryption > Verification: "Do not use OCSP for certificate validation"

That IS the correct answer. I "fooled around" with the options until I discovered it about an hour before you answered!

Everything working now, and I have my "backup/sometimes primary" browser back!
