Firefox Blank Pages (Redirect?)
Even in safe mode, firefox refuses to load pages that redirect? All that happens is the url changes, and a blank screen appears...?
Please help! I've tried disabling extensions (and safe mode doesn't load extensions anyway, right?), and have tried screwing around with all the settings. The site I am trying to use does make use of javascript, so maybe that is the problem? FF Version: 1.5.0.11 Lots of extensions, but tried disabling the new ones, and still have this problem, thinking that it is an advanced setting set through about:config or something? Now there is a problem with FEBE too... something is seriously screwed up!! Sage is not working either.... ![]() Sidebars don't work at all..at least so far... (History so far doesn't work, sage doesn't work, etc...) Tried reinstalling firefox...no luck...for some reason, all the extensions are kept? How do I completely uninstall everything? Hi Elventhang, welcome to CTH.
Sounds like you got the odd problem there then?! Why not start afresh with a new profile? You could probably spend much more time trying to repair that one! Just in case you don't know..... Click - Start > Run > (type) firefox.exe -p (Usually just typing that in works fine, but sometimes, well you know, you'll have to put the whole path in, something like - "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p (depending on where you installed Firefox) If you do have to put the full path in use the "quotes" as I did. This will open your profile manager and you will be able to create another profile. There is also an option there to have the profile manager open every time you start Firefox, so you can go back and delete the old one! You mentioned the sidebar. AIOS (All In One Sidebar) can screw up other extensions so if you don't need it.....FEBE is pretty straight forward, just create folders for the back ups and put the path in FEBE...

are you running any software that protects you from phishing, it could be your anitvirus to antispyware software? If so, you may have it turned on to stop phishing. This will stop redirections.
