I have been told by someone who knows much more than I about computers that I need the following as the second hand tower I have bought is older than my screen:

Studio works 771B (found on a standard PCI graphics adaptor VGA?)

Can anyone advise on this?

sounds like you need video drivers not monitor drivers, d/load this it will tell you almost everything about your pc,and usually links you to driver sites http://www.cybertechhelp.com/download/file/everest-home-edition

Edit: iwishiknew beat me by mere minutes!

The only thing I found about "StudioWorks 771B" referred to it's being a monitor.

Generally, monitors don't need drivers but video cards (graphics adapter, display adapter...all the same thing) do.

If you're having problems with the display but you don't know the make and model of the video card, download and run Everest Home Edition (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/download/file/everest-home-edition). It'll inventory your computer and hopefully identify the vided card so you can find the drivers.

If Everest can't identify the card or you need help finding the drivers, post back in this thread (with the make and model of the video card if Everest identifies it).
