Help...trident tv reduced screen size

Ok...on my old HP laptop...
at the bottom right of the tool bar was a little black tv.
I right clicked and it gave the option of "TV" or "LCD"
I picked "tv" to ....see what would happen......
well...the screen went black, then came back reduced in size. I went back to the icon and selected exit. Now the icon was gone.
We restarted, and the icon came back, but the screen is still reduced and the LCD option is gray.
Help.....

Go to Control Panel->Desktop->Settings and change the screen resolution to what it was before. This will more than likely be whatever the maximum it will go to is.
