Problem with audio

Hi ive got a problem with the audio on my sisters laptop. Basically the audio will suddenly not work but the audio is not muted. I found a way to fix this, i type in "services.msc" in run and the right click on windows audio and select properties, i then get to this screen and the button selected is stop, but when you click start the audio comes back on(see below)

Does anyone know why this keeps randomly hapening?
