Windows CD maker

I dunno if anyone else found it the same way but whenever i insert a CD into the drive and then open it in COMPUTER and start copying files, my laptop starts freezing up and then the CD is ruined. its happened once with a CD and three times with a DVD, OUT OF 5 TIMES. So i was wondering if its my laptop or maybe vista.

Have you tried with a third-party CD/DVD program?

If it works with one of those then it would seem to be the vista program conflicting.

there goes another CD, i used roxio and it went to the end almost and then came up with an error.
