Strange network connections.

I recently got a laptop with windows vista home premium on it. Everything was working fine but for some reason when i booted up today im getting weird wireless internet connection status. it says "Connection Status unknowk: server execution failed" Also anytime i try to go in to manage my connections it takes forever to load the page and then when it does load i am not able to click on anything. Any reasons and solutions to my problem?

Hi Craig, just out of curiosity, do you have AIM installed and if so, did the problem start after the install?

Try this. Boot into Safe Mode (see here (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/tutorial/article/how-to-boot-into-safe-mode) for more help if you need it).

Go to Start Search and type command. A link to a command prompt will appear. Rightclick on it and choose Run as Administrator. Type the below commands after the prompt > and hit enter after each line.

net localgroup Administrators LocalService /add

net localgroup Administrators

Close the command prompt and reboot. Did this help?

Well i do have AIM installed but it started a few days after it. But the problem is fixed. I used one of those restore points and went back a day and it fixed it. but if the problem arises again i'll look to this for help.
