Handy Recovery™ is an easy-to-use data recovery software designed to restore files accidentally deleted from hard disks and floppy drives. The program can recover files damaged by virus attacks, power failures and software faults or files from deleted and formatted partitions. If some program does not use Recycle Bin when deleting files, Handy Recovery can restore such files. It can also recover files moved to Recycle Bin after it has been emptied.

Disk Investigator

What is Disk Investigator? - Disk Investigator helps you to discover all that is hidden on your computer hard disk. It can also help you to recover lost data. Display the true drive contents by bypassing the operating system and directly reading the raw drive sectors. View and search raw directories, files, clusters, and system sectors. Verify the effectiveness of file and disk wiping programs. Undelete previously deleted files.
Seemed to work for me when I tested it.

Can't remember how much i paid to use this software, but it was worth it!

I had a 120GB drive split into three partitions. Something destroyed this structure, but when I ran GDB on the drive through a clean PC (before purchasing) it allowed me to check that what I needed was still there. Once purchased, I managed to recover everything i'd lost, allowing me to reformat, reinstall XP and carry on as normal.

NOTE: DO NOT WRITE TO THE DAMAGED DISK BEFORE RUNNING GETDATABACK, IT MAY PREVENT RECOVERY!!!

I am indebted to the makers of this program for eternity - I had the only copy of my Masters Degree Thesis on the drive, after the backup copy failed. Praise Jah for GDB!

The Data Recovery Wizard program worked for me when I lost some important files. It had a prices tag but from my experience it was worth it. You can see the details info via easeus (www.spamremover.com). I wanted to share but also wanted to make sure that I didn't stray from the forum rules.:rotflmao:

Hi Emily!

You can try Disk Doctors NTFS Data Recovery Software or FAT Data Recovery Software, based on the file system on your drive. The best part of these recovery software is that no technical skills are required for the user to operate and recover files.

Here is a program I use, and have used for quite some time. The only time this program has failed me is when the drive itself has physical damage to it. But like the site says,

* Recover data after accidental deletion
* Recover data after an accidental format
* Recover data from an inaccessible volume (logical drive)
* Recover data after FAT corruption
* Recover data after repartition (fdisk)
* Recover data from a crashed physical device
* Recover data after an MBR corruption
* Recover data from a hard drive, camera card, USB drive, Zip, floppy disk
* Recover data for any error except physical damage

It does it and it does it very well. I don't think I've use another program for this kind of operation unless it flat out works better than this.

I have used Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software with a good result.
You can even try this software to recover your data from formatted hard drive, or data lost due to software malfunction, viruses, file/directory deletion or even sabotage.
