Okay here is a wierd one. Upgrade from Windows XP Pro SP2 to Vista Ultimate 32 bit on a Abit N95F 939 motherboard. Everything is great runs smooth but I have to turn off explorer in task manager. For whatever the reason it is max out the CPU and causing the desktop and all the icons to refresh every 20 seconds or so. I have installed the proper drivers this is the only bug I have found. I am actually using the machine to even send this. Anyone help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Welcome
![]() Are there any other programs running that could be causing the issue? I remember having a resolution chooser that was stuck on an invalid resolution and it caused the exact same problem. Does it happen if you restart explorer? (you can do it from the task manager) Also look in the event logs.

Sorry for not getting back earlier.
what appears to be happening is explorer.exe is being a memory hog and max out the cpu. Yes I can restart explorer.exe but the same problem happens. |
