Apps won't let me proceed with my actions.

Hello,

I'm sure someone has had this problem and would appreciate being pointed to the correct thread.

IE, Windows Explorer and my personal video recorder software WinTV 2000 are giving me problems. When I attempt to record with WinTV the application stops after about 30 seconds. IE opens and takes me to the homepage after about 30 seconds as well...ex. my homepage is www.google.com so i google "cookie recipies" and get links to websites for cookie recipies but 30 seconds later it goes back to the homepage. The only way around it is opening a new tab for every link. Windows Explorer does something similiar and goes back to my default "My document" the only way around it is to right click on the "c: drive" and hit explore then right click on whatever folder i need and hit explore and so on. Hitting explore opens a new window everytime.

Any help is appreciated.
