CPU usage at 100% NEED HELP!

i'm just wondering why is my CPU running at 100% when i have no programs on? ever since i added my 1gb memory stick to it... its been like this. i use to have 512mb memory stick and when i just turn my computer on the cpu usage is like very low... but now once i turn it on its at like CPU USAGE 100% and it will give me like CPU overheat in like a few hrs later? is there a way to lower that percentage so my CPU doesn't overheat n shutdown my computer?

Which process is taking up the most CPU usage?

svhost is taking up the most... thats the last time i saw it... i can't even use "ctrl alt del" to check it... my properties on my computer doesn't work too ><

The thing that came to mind when you originally posted was that it sounds like the Norton 2007 NAV or NIS issue.
Do you get an error on restart ?
