Trying to hook up my Linksys wireless N broadband router. I unplugged my old router and plugged in this one. Why won’t it work? All I need it for now is my PC which is not wirless. I should just be able to plug it in hard wired style and be good to go. But im notable to do so...? Any help would be appreciated

Have you followed all steps from the Quick Install guide.
Follow them correctly, even if you think you know what to do. Sometimes there are some small, but neccessary steps, such as power cycling the router and rebooting the PC, or renewing/repairing the lan connection.
Most Linksys routers these days have the Easy install button and a CD to setup the wireless network.
You should be automatically assigned an IP address. You should also be able to login to the router IP.
If you are not being assigned an IP Address from the router then you have more severe problems.

most of the time you will need to reset the cable modem too. it seems to know what mac address it is connected to. unplug the cable modem for a few minutes, then plug in and connect the router
