Using Norton Ghost 9.0 at medium compression to copy a 120 MB hard drive.)Windows XP Pro) Seven hours later it's only one-fourth complete. Iis this normal.?

I'm copying the date onto a bigger HD to install back into the same computer.

No, it's very slow.

It could be that you have specificed for sector checking. It could be that the disk has many bad sectors.

If possible try testing with the latest version of Ghost, TrueImage or DriveBackup.

Most have trial versions and you can find old versions available on magazine cover disks.
