interesting article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4721723.stm) on piggybacking of wireless and the consequences of doing it.

A recent court case, which saw a West London man fined £500 and sentenced to 12 months' conditional discharge for hijacking a wireless broadband connection, has repercussions for almost every user of wi-fi networks

I have been temped at times. I have access to three unsecured wifi networks from my apartment. I have been tempted to teach them a lesson and enter their router and lock them out (if their network is unsecured, most likely the routers still have default passwords) or send them a network message. So far common sense has won out.
