Hello all,
I'm looking for a GUI/program that I can use to convert .avi files to mpeg. My girlfriend is doing some video editing and needs to convert avi to mpeg to get them on a disk to send to clients. Kind of like the CDEX program for .mp3's. AVI's are to huge to burn on even dvd. I have the codec's, I just need some kind of converter.
Anyone know of a program I can use?
Thanx
Jim

I use Allok AVI to MPEG converter, it does the trick!
www.alloksoft.com/vc.htm (http://www.alloksoft.com/vc.htm)

there are a few places on the net wher you can maybe find it free, well maybe... good luck!
Just dont forget you will loose a bit of the image quality! maybe is worth encoding to h264 to keep the quality with a smaller file size.
