Hi, I just purchased a new computer a few days ago with Vista pre installed. Today I went to install Office X3 and was forced to shut down computer after it froze during installation. Ever since, NO cd or dvd will play. I get the message "E:\ Application not found" when i double click dvd drive. If I try to explore it, it tells me to insert a CD first. I have re-installed my drivers, checked my autoplay features and performed a System Restore right to where I began the Office installation. Nothing has worked. Any ideas? Any suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ok, no one seems to have any answers so I tried formatting.. I plan on installing XP anyways... only I cant boot the XP cd. I found out that i can boot Vista cd (thats the ONLY cd my drive is reading right now) so I did a clean install of Vista, hoping that it would fix my problem and allow me to then format and install XP.. it just isn't working, the problem persists and its really pissing me off... ***? vista is a piece of ****
