Mas and spyware

I can't get rid of annoying junk emails on my Mac. It's just started happening, and i send them all to JUNK, but htey keep coming. I've heard spyware does not infect Macs, but it seems like this is the case. Should I get Internet Cleanup or Mac Scan? Any ideas?
Thanks.

There is NO spyware on the Mac. None.

Spam emails are not a result of spyware, they are the result of your email address getting put on a list somewhere. This can happen many ways.... you post your email address ANYWHERE on the web and it will be picked up and added, you sign up at a site that sells your email address (always read privacy policies), you reply to 1 junk email letting them know your address is valid, they then add the address to more lists.

Your junk email is not a problem with your Mac in any way.
