Uninstall, containing other files HELP

What happens with the files (and other files that aren't initially part of the package but later manually added in) in a folder containing the "uninstall" icon once the uninstall is executed, the folder disappears but then along with it, it has other files?

I hope that wasn't confusing. What I'm asking is, where do these uninstalled files end up and is it possible to retrieve them?

I'd appreciate any reply, if not to recover, I'd just like to understand.

Hi Gardenia and welcome to CTH. If the uninstall routine of the program includes uninstalling the folder you are talking about, any files in that folder will be deleted. Does this answer your question?

In so far as recovery is concerned, yes it's possible as long as you havent overwritten the files by writing to the disk but I'll leave it up to others to recommend recovery tools.
