Hi
I'm looking at reformatting my hard drive and deleting the current partition. How do I perform this? I've never done it before so looking for advice. Is it a complicated process or is it pretty straight forward? Any advice is much appreciated.
Many Thanks

Are you wanting to wipe the drive?
If so it's pretty simple.
Run the vista setup. After a few screens you will get to the part where it askes you where to install to.
At this point you can partition and format the drive.

There's a guide to installing Vista, with graphics, on this page (http://www.theeldergeekvista.com/vista_clean_installation.htm).

Hi

Even though the guide is for Vista Ultimate, will the process be the same for Home premium?
Many Thanks

If you choose not to enter the product key at step #5, you'll choose Vista Home Premium and not Ultimate at step #7. Otherwise, it's the same.
Of course, entering the product key at step #5 simplifies things.
