network issues, is it just aol?
Hi, i recently got the netgear dg834g router free from aol, it works fine with ethernet connection, no problems at all
I just bought a Belkin 802.11g 54mbps wireless adapter the f5d7050 model. Setup from the cd worked fine. I installed the software from both aol and belkin correctly, when the aol cd says to set up wirless networking it will not do mine because it is not supported, but instead says to use the cd that came from belkin, so far as i can tell i have installed this cd correctly and all it does is show a status report of the connection, that the adapter is communicating with the router but not getting online. when i look on network connections it says there is a problem with my wirless, when i try to repair this it gets stuck at the renewal of ip address and cannot go further. So far as i can tell i have installed everything correctly and it should work, but it doesnt. i am considering maybe it is just an aol conflict? like when they unnoficially made it harder for xbox live users to get online e.t.c. Any help is greatly apreciated as i am now completely clueless. Thanx. |

Hi
Try disabling your firewall first. Then install.
