Flash Drive Problems.

Hello i currently have windows vista and when i insert a flash drive into my pc it always recognizes the device but it never opens the folder to view the items, i don't even get the prompt for it. i was wondering if there was a way to fix this, thank you for your help.

when you insert it, do you get something that says use windows explorer to view. It may say other things also. If so, what happens if you click on it?

i do not get that promt. i would like to get that promt, so i can select open folder to view items.
