View shared folders

My wife and I each have a HP Pavilion computer. We share a wireless connection. However, whereas she can see my folders on hers, I can only view my own folders on mine; I can't see any of her shared folders. What am I missing?

Go to start/control panel on her computer.
When prompted select enable file and printer sharing
and complete the wizard.
Make sure she has at least 1 file or folder shared.

Checking file sharing in NETWORK SETUP WIZARD on my wife's computer did nothing to the sharing.
When I click on a file on my machine, the column to the left of the list offers the option of sharing this folder. When I click on a file on my wife's, nothing happens; there is no left-side column. When I right-click a folder on her machine, a PROPERTIES window appears (see included picture) where I have checked "Share this folder on the network". But, I still am unable to view her folders (like the Snapshot Viewer in screenshot.jpg).

Sorry,can't see a picture.
You might want to check your firewall and make sure her
computer or IP is in the safe zone.
Check to see if the firewall is blocking it by disabling it
momentarily.

Disabled her firewall momentarily but subsequently she lost her connections to Outlook Express and Internet. I got her going again but we'll forget about file sharing, it's not important. Thanks for your suggestions.
