ok i have a belkin router connected to my windows xp and its a wireless b.what im trying to find out is would a wireless g pci adapter be compatible with it?also would this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122119) pci adapter be compatible with windows vista?thanx!

Yes, it should work just fine. Upgrade the router when you can.

Yes, it should work just fine. Upgrade the router when you can. True, but you will connect at wireless b speeds. Also, I'd check out other adapters at newegg as the reviews for that one are pretty bad. If the router is going to be off in another room you may want one with an external antenna (or at least will accept one), that way you can move the antenna around if you have connectivity issues.

well i opened it..(still can return it)but heres a question...ok it connects and everything,rooms arent that far but thing is i guess the router wont detect it cause the signal kinda keeps dropping it says 'searching' then it connects and then searchs again.

Do you have WEP, WPA, or a MAC filter enabled on the router?
