I want set up file sharing and printer sharing windows xp to windows 2000

I help out my dad at our auto shop we have two offices one for looking up parts and labor and another one in the front office wich is for customer service and estimates. I wans to network them together one is running windows xp and anothe is running windows 2000. They are both connected to the same router or modem, what ever its called, the thing were you connect the cat cables to get the dsl connection. I want the pc with windows 2000 to connect to the one with windows xp how do I do this?

I have found it is best to start with this domument (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=87C0A6DB-AEF8-4BEF-925E-7AC9BE791028&displaylang=en) from MS. It describes setting up file sharing between various version of windows.

Take a look at it and give it a go. Let us know how it goes or if you need any help getting it to work.
