When i am in forums i see people post web addresses and such that can be accessed by clicking. I cannot find a way to do this--the help menu just isn't clear enough for me to understand. Also, how do you email these same links? thanks a lot (ps: i know this is beginner stuff, but that's where i'm at.)

To make a word, or words, a hyperlink, on a message board such as this one, first click the Post Reply, New Topic or Go Advanced button.

In the page that opens, type the message. Then select the word or words you want to turn into a hyperlink (by dragging the cursor across them while holding down the left mouse button).

With the text selected, look above the box where you type your message for an icon that looks like a globe with a paperclip on it. Click that icon and in the box that opens, enter the URL you want to link to, click OK. When you post the message (or preview it), the words you highlighted will be shown as a link to the URL you entered.

Or you can type it manually using the following syntax:
[ url = http://www. somepage. com ] this is a link [ /url ]

I have added spaces to keep it from turning into a hyperlink. The entire thing can have spaces only between the words where "this is a link" appear.
