Will no device work in USB if one stopped working

This is related to another question I asked but since no one answered I pose this as a seperate question. When I updated windows 98 files my C-it camera stopped working with a message-class not registered. Does this mean nothing will work with the USB connector. Thank you

No, it only means that something in the update messed with the camera software. Have you tried reinstalling the camera software?

yes, I tried installing the software

Thanks for the answer. I did try reinstalling the C-it camera CD-ROM after uninstalling it but th e camera still didn't work. Still get the message-class not registered. Think I'll probably use the restore CD again. Do you think I should have a problem with playing video streamers(not related to the C-it camera) after using the restore disc? Thanks
