Word 2002 - Headers/Footers
I created a document in Word 2003 that has an image in the header for staff to access via our website and save to their desktop to use for letters, memos, etc. Most of the staff have no problems accessing it, but a few open it and the page is blank...no header visible. They are in page layout view so the view is not the problem. The image shows up in print preview or after you click around the page a little, but then disappears again. Is there a setting on their computer that needs to turned on or off? Any advice is greatly appreciated. The users having the problem have Windows XP and Office XP.
Thanks, DonnaD |

You can try to look out for any differences in the settings (e.g. Tools --> Options --> Both View & General tabs ) between those who can access and those who can't.

Thank you for your assistance. I checked all of that...unchecked picture placeholder, made sure drawing was checked, etc. On one computer, once I deleted the normal.dot template and recreated it...she was able to view the images. The other computer will not let me delete the normal.dot template, so that coworker still cannot see the images in the header. Any other ideas?

I wonder the deletion of a template is the proper way of solving the problem. Usually, if you click "Save as" and choose the template file (e.g. .dot) type, you can delete any template you like by right clicking it and selecting "Delete".
