Hi all,
I have used Acronis with XP for some time with no problems whatsoever. However, it does not like my Vista installation.
Does anybody have a recommendation which they use and/or works well with Vista?
Thanks for any suggestions.

It's OK, it works now. Just turn off User Account Control.

Yes but it's not quite what I want. I like an image based backup tool which is only available in certain editions.
Blurb below;
Windows Complete PC Backup and Restore
Available in Windows Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions, Windows Complete PC Backup and Restore is a comprehensive, image-based backup tool that will help you out of a tight spot if you need to recover your entire system.
While file restore is useful in cases of file loss and data corruption, Windows Complete PC Backup and Restore is most useful for disaster recovery when your PC malfunctions. This feature helps you create complete PC backups, and then in the event of a serious system issue or data loss, Windows Complete PC Backup and Restore can restore your entire PC environment, including the operating system, installed programs, user settings, and data files.

Hi, dohray! What version of True Image do you use? As i know, the last version supports Vista. May be you should renew it?

Hi JabberMan,
I have ATI 10. Although running fine now, I did originally have problems with it. However, I like the programme so continued to try to get it working right with my setup.
This was not restoring an image but on reboot after installing the programme.
These ranged from having to run a repair on the vista installation, to being told I didn't have enough privileges and UAC blocking it.
I'll restore using an image and see if I have any problems over the weekend.

Quick update:
Just for the fun of it, I formatted and re-installed OS and applications. ATI 10 worked like a charm, restoring an OS image and even e-mail backup's.
This time around, I noticed it even sports the Windows Security icon...more clearer in the 3D Mark 06 entry.
