Unhappy Movie problems in wmp10 - Help!

I need help in playing movies in WMP10.
I know version 11 is out, but I like 10 better.
But anyway, some movies I play dont work.
I have old movies and new.
There half Video Clip and Movie Clips in Type!
Now when playing one Video Clip it only plays the sound.
First it asked me to download a Codec, but I passed that by mistake.
Now I dont know what Codec I need now.
Now when playing some Movie Clips.
I try to move forward in the clip but it freezes but sound still rolls.
So what could be the problems here?
I play it in a program called Total Video Player with no problems.
So it has to be the windows media player.
Please help me out. I cant solve this on my own, Thanks!

You may want to try installing a codec pack.
Microsoft offers some, but if you google it you will find many more.

A Codec Pack?
So it contains a bunch of codecs in one pack?
Because I dont know which codec I need.
So what would the pack be called for the media player?

The MS site has some codec packs to download or you can get generic one from download sites.
