Hi, Nikki. If this is an existing document you have that you now want to use as a template, open the document, be sure everything is just the way you want it, and go to File>Save As, and click the arrow in the Save As Type box and choose Document Template (.dot). You'll see that it saves in your Templates folder.

You can create a brand new template by opening Word and going to File>New. At the bottom right where you see the radio button, put it on Template and click OK. Then you can put what you need in your template, including fields to jump to with a shortcut key for fill in the blank spots. When you save, it will be saved to the Templates folder.

Welcome to CTH!
