hi, i am getting some pretty weird playback issues with Windows Media Player 11, Nero Showtime, Media Player Classic, etc.. i watch most movies on my hard drive: .avi, .mov, .mpeg, and DVD movies from my Optical drive and i get strange shadows across my screen. it is like having a broken picture tube on an old rear-projection TV and having red shadows next to the picture..i am using an LCD monitor.. i used to have a problem with green movie files but got rid of that problem with a new codec package and everything was fine til about a week ago..
i have tried numerous codec packages, uninstalling individual codecs from the device manager..tried different players but still get the problem..it doesn't affect every movie i play..probably about 30-50% of them
