Please can anyone tell me if I can load the Sims 2 and the expansion packs onto my new external hard drive instead of the internal one, mainly because of the space it takes up?? Thanks

I don't have the Sims 2, but with every other game I have, there have been no problems installing it on a secondary hard drive, so I don't see why Sims 2 would be different. And I have a lot of games.
You may want to be wary of speed. If your external drive is using the USB connection, it may have an impact on games speed because USB sends game data a lot slower than an internal drive does. A Firewire or eSATA drive shouldn't have any noticeable performance hit. But the Sims is not exactly a fast-paced game, so I don't see this causing too much of a hit to loading times, if any.
