PC locking up during Everquest2.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if you guys could help me with my really annoying problem. For some reason, ever since I started playing EQ2 again (just got the money), my pc will (started off not happening very often) more often than not, complete freeze up while I am playing. If it happens while I am playing, I can still move my character around, and interact with a few things, but stuff like gear and abilities will not be used/changed. When it happens during a loading screen, the music starts to repeat from where it froze (this happens during non loading freezes as well).

There are only two ways to fix this issue, either turn off my computer from the on button, or to hit the restart button. Neither of these are good for my pc, but I love to game... anyone know of a way to fix this?

Edit: I am using the same exact specs that I had prior to my forced lay off (not enough money) from the game. The only new things that are only my pc are IE7 and all the tools that I've had to download to clean up my pc. (smitfraud, hijack, etc)

Yep, still havin this problem... I even went as far as to remove the driver for my graphics card and redownload a lesser version... still freezing up. So yeah... could I please get some help?!
