Bandwidth Choke Playing HL2:deathmatch & BF 2142

Computer is on a wired network with one other computer, and while playing battlefield i will frequenty lock up in game with a "your connection has been inturupted" message or wutnot. Sometimes I wil get disconected, sometimes i wont. When playing HL2:deathmatch I never get disconnected, but i will lag up real bad. I had one person tell me that they were watching me float in the air, not moving at all.

Wierd thing is sometimes my teamspeak will still function even in the lag, i will almost always be able to hear people over teamspeak even in lag (sometimes i cant), sometimes they can even hear me talking back. same goes for the in game voip in both games (although i am never able to talk back when i lag up i can hear them sometimes) In all the time i have not been disconnected from teamspeak once

I have played both of these games for a while without troubble, this started about 2-3 days ago and comes and goes, in its worst i cant stay connected to bf2142 for more then 2 minutes, at best i dont have a problem for about 10 minutes.

I have a cable internet connection with comcast.

It is not a frame-lockup in either game. I never drop below 60 frames.

Programs running -
BF2142 or HL2:deathmatch
iTunes
Teamspeak
Teamspeak overlay
Asus Smartdoctor
Abit uGuru
Fraps
Steam (only with HL2)

I have tried just running just BF2142 and Teamspeak (no overlay none of the other programs) and that did nothing, i had the same exact symptoms

did some bandwidth tests on cnet.com with only teamspeak running and connection speed was between 4000kb/s and 95kb/s with an average speed of about 1400 kb/s

Im thinking that the readings i get down in the 1xx down to 95 kb/s are when i lag in game.

the other computer in my house is not running, any ideas whats wrong/how to fix
