so i changed my password for my email on yahoo, because one of my former friends was logging into my accounts online without my permission. after i changed my password, i was no longer able to log in at all. i was told my password was inncorrect. i've tired over and over. i would have only chosen one password to open my email, and it's not working. yahoo advised me to ask look around on here. but do you know any way to get personally intouch with yahoo? maybe a phone number or somthing, so i can prove to be myself? also, i can't go through the "i forgot my password" option because i started this account when i was 14, and i don't know what "my favorite past time" was then. so if anyone could help that would be great!

Is it possible that your "friend" changed your password before you?
Just a thought!

If you cannot get it through the forgotton id link then there may be nothing you can do since you cannot verify you are who you say you are. Just keep trying favorite pastime or trying different combinations of passwords. There is nothing we can do for you since we cannot verify that its your account either.

thanks for your input. i wouldn't have been able to log in to change my password, if they did before me. and do you know of anywhere i can call yahoo? maybe i can give them my driver license number to verify myself. *shrugs*

If they make exceptions for you, they have to do it for everybody. And even if they did, it wouldn't help - you may be able to prove who you are now, but how do you prove it was who originally created the account, if they never saw any identification before?

i wouldn't have been able to log in to change my password, if they did before me.Well there is a slight chance if they were also logged in @ the same time you did they could change it w/o you even knowing (After you change yours).....
Good luck!
