Or better yet, can anyone suggest a better laptop for gaming that is $1200 or less from Dell Canada? Thanks!

PS- What does the "Cache" mean in the processor speed line? Also, whats the differences between the RAM? Some RAM on dell I noticed was more expensive for certain 1GBs even compared to certain 2GBs. Can anyone make the reason clearer for me?

On option A i can upgrade the RAM to either:

2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
Or
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz

for the same price...is there any difference at all, or are they pretty much the same as the price suggests?

Between the 2, here's the differences (that, as a gamer, you'll care about):

Option A: Video Card 256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory
Option B: Junk.

Option A: Nice processor.
Option B: Even nicer processor.

So, I went with A: simply because it has a GPU (although it still shares system memory). Subjective? Yep. But honestly, neither rig is a gaming powerhouse, unless your game of choice is Freecell. In which case, either one is a *****in' rig. ;)

Go with the faster speed RAM. Not much of a difference, but still if it's a free upgrade, take it.

Edit: here's a link to Processor Cache (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU_cache).
