Windows VISTA or XP You Ask. The answer is very simple.

First off, if you have a computer, stick with XP, instead of doing all those upgrades.

Besides another launch of Windows is expected in 2010 and they say it will be a better version than what Vista is.

However if you want Vista I would suggest buying a vista ready computer.

If your a business tycoon or business man at heart go for the business edition.

If you have a home office or the computer is mostly used for home related stuff than home premium is your best bet.

If your into powerful and extreme systems plus gaming, you might just consider the Ultimate Edition.

I probably will be sticking with XP for quite sometime and planning to program Mac and Ubuntu and maybe BSD onto it as well to get the best of all worlds.

No I didn't but as you mention it... :D As Mark Twain once said "I’m all for progress, it’s change I don’t like.”

We can either do old stuff in old ways, we can do old stuff in new ways or we can do new stuff in new ways.

It all boils down to personal preference in the end (plopping noise as cork comes out of wine bottle)...which might explain this post. ;)

Interesting. What version of the Mac OS do you intend to program "to run" on XP? Can you post how to do this, in baby steps, for those of us that do not know how?

Thanks. :)

The Mac software is (x86 Intel), I know how to, however my system is in need of upgrades, I'll keep CTH posted on success.

For people that want to try this, you'll need 200GB or 250GB of harddrive and 1GB or 2GB of RAM and suggested a x86 system. I sure there are other that work with and understand 64bit better. Mac takes 4GB HD, Windows takes 1.5GB HD and are both quite resource hungry. I believe UbuntU takes less room than Windows and is less resource hungry. BSD I'm questioning at the moment.

If your as Lucky as my dad you can max out at 3GB of RAM. I guess it depends on your motherboard.

When its successful you'll notice my profile change.

There are a lot of "cracked" versions of OS X that will do it, but why not just run it in VMWare or run XP in parallels?

VMWare and Virtual Box was suggested to me. Parallels I believe is a pay program, unless there's a freeware version that I didn't hear about.
