Hi! guys,Ive just completed my first new build as in my rundown. It went pretty good. eventually got it up and running sorted Bios configured RAID.Now attempted to install Vista Home Premiumx64.It wont rcognize the drive aand needs a special SATA driver.Iread the h/board manual.also haynes manual.so now am tryng to create a floppy on my old computer from the M.B Disk.Found the file and when I opened it ,nothing there but NULL!.So found the Gigabyte site.and the relevant file and d/loaded it to my desk top.I Dont know how to write the driver to a floppy.Ive browsed help files ,no luck .So please guys can anyone talk me tho how to do it.Thanks in anticipation.

just a question... is your computer is set up to handle your 64 bit vista? or is it a x86?

Thanks for the responce.Ive got to say "I dont know" Upto date ive followed the Motherboard manual to set up ,and now when I start Vista installonto the SATA hard disk it wont recognize the hard drives existance unless it has a special SATA drve.I am having difficulty following the MB manual to create the floppy with this drive on (for the 64bit system you have to select the 64bit SATA-RAID driver).Ive made numerous attempts to do this but I,m getting it wrong somewhere. regards.

The files should be in the raid,IDE or SATA folder.
You are looking for files that end with the .sys,.vxd and .inf extensions.
The inf file is required to tell windows what to look for.
The vxd or sys file is the driver.

thanks leroys1000 these are the drivers on the M.B Cd.Ive tried them all in vista set up when it asks to load drivers.
D:\BootDrv\MENU.EXE
1>GIGARAID
2>Si3114 BASE Driver
3>Si3114 RAID Driver
4>VIA 6410 RAID
5>Promise 20779 SATA Driver
6>Promise 20779 SATA RAID Driver
7>Intel Matrix Storage Manager 32 bit
8>Intel Matrix Storage Manager 64 bit
9>Si3132 BASE <32 Bit> Driver
A>Si3132 BASE <64 Bit> Driver
B>Si3132 RAID <32 Bit> Driver
C>Si3132 RAID <64 Bit> Driver
D>iTE 8211 Driver
E>GIGABYTE SATA-RAID Driver 32Bit
F>GIGABYTE SATA-RAID Driver 64Bit

I thought items8( because it tells you to load that in the manual) and itemF would be the ones to use.each time I tried to load from the floppy it told me it couldnt find any drivers.
Ive made floppy,s of all the drivers in this list and tried them. no luck.Ive rechecked my bios settings and hard ware settings but I cant get Vista to recognize the hard drives.I,d apreciate any input at all ,as to what I might try
