When I test my mouse double-click option in my control panel, it appears to function normally, also within Explorer or other software, but when I attempt to start Explorer, my double-click opens "internet properties" rathern than the browser. I can still access the browser by right-click and selecting "Open" or "Open Home Page" but not by double-click. Am I missing a setting in some other option that is preventing my computer from recognizing this function?

Is it set correctly in folder options>general tab?

Folder options set at "Doubleclick to open an item". The problem appears to be more pervasive than I'd originally thought. Doubleclick searches for properties on all programs on my desktop or within the control panel. It appears to work within software just fine, but not at the operating system level. Curiouser and curiouser.
