Hi

Does anyone know of a messenger type chat program that I can run on my office network and VPN connections just to communicate in our own network, I would not like to use MSN or the like as they are barred from our machines due to misuse.

Server is running XP server edition
PCs are XP pro SP2

This sounds like a question you should be asking your IT department?

I am the IT department, I banned MSN becouse people are communicating with there mates all day, however I would like still to be able to communicate around the building in real time via a online messanger service.

Any ideas?

No... don't use IRC. That protocol is extremely user unfriendly.
